Welcome to Fjaltring.
DANHOSTEL Fjaltring Vandrerhjem is the smallest in Denmark. The hostel was built in 2000 using sound natural materials.
The hostel is found on the outskirts of Fjaltring facing open fields and an extensive view of the North Sea.
Here the coastline is different from the rest of the west coast because there is fertile agricultural land right to edge of the coast. However, there are also stretches of sand dunes within walking distance of the youth hostel.
Naturally the landscape has been influenced by the North Sea and the west wind as well as by the fact it lies on the 16000 year old ice front line. Just here the landscape changes from flat plains to hilly moraine land. 6 kilometres to the north lies Bovbjerg. 10 kilometres to the south there is the exciting fishing town of Thorsminde and 17 kilometres from there is the charming town of Lemvig by the Limfjord, which many Danes know from the comic strip “Life in Lidenlund” (“Livets gang i Lidenlund).
The beach opposite Fjaltring is the most popular on this stretch of the west coast as a result of its child-friendly bathing conditions.
Fjaltring is known for its active association life and many cultural activities. There are many fine art exhibitions, concerts and lectures etc. at Tuskær Cultural Centre all year round. There are also regular exhibitions at Galleri Tukak while there are all sorts of events at Fjaltring Friskole regularly.
There is no shop at the hostel but the local grocer’s shop is right beside it.
The hostel was built on the initiative of the local residents and is the only one in the country operated by a Society Executive Committee and a host of volunteers.

Solfang, the youth and family hostel at Henne Strand (Beach), is a summer-only establishment which fits in nicely with the wide range of other accommodation possibilities – campsites, summer houses, hotels and guest houses.

We can offer accommodation for one night and upwards in family rooms or single-sex dormitories.
Henne Strand was developed as a holiday resort in the second half of the 20th century. The hostel was built in 1935 and is 500 metres from the beach, in the centre of the resort.
Restaurants serving fish dishes, cafés and café/bars and reasonably priced pizzerias are all within a short walking distance. You will also find well-stocked shops selling the amber jewellery from the west coast, summer clothes, swimming costumes and toys etc.
The hostel has a kitchen for the use of guests and it also offers a buffet breakfast. The local grocer’s shop is well-stocked and the mobile fishmonger stops by every second day.
In summer, those travelling by train have the opportunity to take the taxibus between Henne Station and Henne Strand (9 kilometres in a taxi for the price of a normal ticket).

DANHOSTEL Herning is located centrally in the heart of Mid-Jutland, within reasonable distances of the major sights: Legoland, the lion park at Givskud, Tivoli Friheden and the old town in Århus. The town of Herning contains many attractions such as the photo museum, the textile museum, art galleries, the historical museum and the Japanese garden. The town is also known as a centre for exhibitions and trade fairs, for example agricultural exhibitions.

DANHOSTEL Hvide Sande is located on the dunes of Holmsland, with the North Sea to the west and Ringkøbing Fjord to the east. The local area offers beautiful scenery with rich birdlife, marked cycle and walking paths and good fishing areas at the sea or by Ringkøbing Fjord. The waters are suitable for swimming and surfing. The leisure centre has a swimming pool; handball, badminton and work-out facilities and is located just 0.1 km from the hostel. Football pitches and tennis courts are located within 1 km, surfing instruction within 2 km and golf courses and bowling within 15 km of the hostel.
DANHOSTEL Hvide Sande is located within walking distance of the town centre, the harbour, the sea and the beach and is the perfect option for school and sport camps, conferences and meetings.

DANHOSTEL Oksbøl is located in the Ål plantation with lake swimming, forest playground, dogs’ forest, and marked paths for walking and running. Oksbøl town and the Blåvandshuk sports centre are within walking distance. The hostel is ideal for sports groups, orienteers, biologists, sports hunters and anyone interested in nature, history and peace and quiet. The North Sea, the Wadden Sea, estuary, forest and moor characterise the landscape in the ‘Land of Adventure’.

Ribe is the oldest and one of the most beautiful towns in Denmark. Ribe’s history can be dated back to the Vikings. Ribe’s ancient environment has been very well preserved and, while walking through the town, you can feel the touch of history much more strongly than anywhere else in the country. Ribe is located in flat marshland close to the Wadden Sea, one of Europe’s leading projects in nature conservation, with birds, seals and unique flora.
DANHOSTEL Ribe hostel is located in the middle of Ribe overlooking the marsh, the Ribe river, the old part of town and the cathedral.

Welcome to Ringkøbing. With its low brick buildings and paved streets, Ringkøbing is one of the loveliest towns in Denmark. The old houses have been carefully restored and are beautiful and well preserved. The town offers a wide range of speciality shops and jazz music on the town’s squares. The amazing scenery around the sea and Ringkøbing Fjord will take your breath away, whether you care for a dip in the sea, hiking in the dunes or just breathing in the fresh air.
DANHOSTEL Ringkøbing was established in 1993 and is linked to one of Denmark’s largest sports centres. The hostel is equipped with modern facilities and is ideal for sports camps, school camps, conferences, meetings and any other kind of group stay.

Tønder is the capital of the marshland and the oldest merchant town in Denmark, located close to the Danish-German border. The town is fascinating from a historical and idyllic point of view, with beautifully renovated old houses, many interesting shops and good restaurants. With Tønder as a base for visiting the south-western corner of Denmark, a fascinating experience is assured in terms of scenery, culture, history, sports, shopping and recreation. In terms of nature, one item worth mentioning is the unique Wadden Sea and the dykes. There is a large parking area by the hostel and a green area with activities and playground for children and the young at heart. DANHOSTEL Tønder is one of Southern Jutland’s most popular hostels. Materials for school camps can be ordered.

DANHOSTEL Varde has a beautiful location in peaceful surroundings by a stadium and gym. Close to the town centre and nature areas by the Varde River. Ideal conditions for angling, canoeing and golf. Other sports facilities are available. Varde is centrally located for trips to the North Sea, Legoland, Givskud, the Fishing museum and one of the Sommerland amusement parks.
